With the visual aid of a reference photo (or photos) attached to an e-mail sent to me by the client, I paint portraits in oil on canvas, or, if the client prefers, in soft pastels on heavy-guage archival-quality Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. Pastel portraits come mounted on stiff, professional grade foamcore backing, and are tastefully matted in preparation for framing. Frames are not included. Note: Currently, this site shows only samples of my pastel portraits as I await the development of a revamped gallery page. Once the new gallery has been installed on my site, I will include samples of my new oil portraits.

Background for your pet portrait (optional)

For an additional fee, a pictorial background, based on your photo or suggestion, can be requested to personalize your pet portrait and enhance it aesthetically.

An example of how it works

This is a client's e-mailed photo for a pet portrait:

All that's needed is a photo and a refundable deposit of 10% to begin work on your portrait.

After I have accepted your photo(s) as a basis for the portrait, a refundable deposit of 10% of the portrait fee is required to reserve your place in my list of commissions. This deposit can be sent to me via PayPal or by check or money order via regular mail. PayPal payments are made through a link to PayPal's secure payment webpage, which I will email to you.

Then what happens?

When work on your portrait is complete, I will email you a photo of the completed portrait. Reasonable alterations can be made to the portrait if desired. Once you have emailed your approval, delivery of the portrait is made, commensurate with payment in full.

If you decide to not proceed with purchase, your initial deposit amount will be refunded to you.

PayPal can now process your payments even if you do not have a PayPal account! When you are ready to purchase your portrait, I will send you a PayPal invoice via email which enables you to do so using their user-friendly and secure online payment website.

Payment can also be made by check or money order.
