“...so beautiful that I still find myself just sitting and staring at it.” ~ L. Peterson
I specialize in fine art pet portraits painted in oil on canvas, by my hand and brush. No "computer painting," no outsourcing.
~Eric E. Stewart
I am an award-winning American artist and have painted pet portraits from photos for clients since 1991. My clients value the lifelike beauty of their pet portrait paintings, which attract praise in tastefully decorated homes and offices in several countries.
My work as a pet artist is very gratifying. I love my pets and it's a privilege to paint portraits that are highly valued by people who feel the same way about theirs.
The classic beauty of a painted portraitA photo portrait is fine, but they are common. The owner of a pet portrait painting understands that it transcends a photo in terms of what it can convey. Visually, conceptually, and artistically, a pet portrait painting is so much more.
Possibly the best pet-lover gift possibleRecipients of a gift of an Eric Stewart pet portrait are always impressed and moved by the painting they have just unwrapped. I frequently receive emails from happy clients, like this one from Scott, who commissioned a dog portrait of Allie, for his wife:
"Eric, the portrait you did of Allie was incredible! Allie was my wife's baby before we had any children and when I presented her with the portrait Christmas morning, we both broke down in tears. It's the best gift I have ever given her! Thanks. Scott"
Gift certificates are available for the gift giver in a time pinch.
A pet memorialIf a pet has passed away, a beautiful pet portrait of him or her is one of the best ways to commemorate your friendship.
A gift to a loved one of a pet memorial portrait of their special friend will be warmly received, and appreciated throughout their life.
When choosing a pet portrait artist:I live and paint in the state of Washington, and I personally create only hand-painted portraits. I stress this because there are portrait sites on the web which sell computer-generated pet portraits printed from client photos, which attempt to simulate the appearance of a painted portrait.
Also, there are portrait art websites which outsource your portrait commission to anonymous artists in developing countries. With such companies, you may not have your choice of artist, and your input may not be welcome during the painting process.
I provide friendly, courteous, personalized service to my clients to ensure that they are delighted with their finished portraits. My clients communicate with me at any time and receive a prompt and helpful reply. I make every effort to make your pet portrait experience pleasant and easy.
